The Panama Solar Powered Bollard Light is a 140mm diam. bollard with anti glare top, designed to help direct the light downwards. The high impact, detailed polycarbonate lens and internal reflector diffuses light evenly. Epistar LED chips (1.8W) generate a high lumen output with up to 50,000 hours life. Optimum charge levels are maintained due to the substantial monocrystalline solar panel and replaceable LifePO4 lithium battery. The wider top enables a large solar panel to be installed and prevents light pollution.

The Panama Solar Powered Bollard Light is the perfect solution to path lighting. It is both simple and safe to install, with no restraints on positioning, in comparison to mains fittings. It is environmentally friendly, converting natural energy into electrical current. Furthermore, solar lighting is completely free to run.

Dimming Sequence & Active Smart Power System

The Panama uses intelligent time controllers, calibrated to the UK climate, to prolong battery life without compromising on brightness levels. These time controllers operate a gradual dimming sequence to maintain a brighter light when it is needed most, in the early hours of darkness, and a less bright light when it is needed less, often in the early hours of the morning. In addition, the Panama’s Active Smart Power System (ASPS) further reduces light emission when the battery voltage is low, resulting in longer-lasting light functionality.

At dusk, the Panama solar powered bollard light will illuminate at full brightness, and then follow a gradual dimming sequence until it reaches 30% brightness after 5 hours. From then on it will remain at 30% until dawn. As a result, battery charge is retained for longer than other alternatives sequences. Even in the dullest of weather, our solar lights will still illuminate, although they may not last the entire night cycle, which in many cases is not a necessity. The on/off switch is concealed by a waterproof plug which is also much less noticeable.
