Pergolux – 12v Hanging Light – Powder Coated Brown Finish – Maximum 35w MR16 – IP65 – Open Cable – 3 Colour Choices
The rustic ‘earth’ brown ‘Pergolux’ is a powder coated aluminium 12v hanging light, with a fixed, clear 60mm tempered glass
lens. A great example of a hanging garden spotlight, the ‘Pergolux’ is more weatherproof than others available (IP54)
because of the glass lens which protects the bulb. For this reason it is ideal for anywhere in the garden where light
is required from above, such as a seating area, certain trees or BBQ areas. The unique rustic ‘earth’ brown finish has
a charming quality that blends in well with a variety of outdoor surroundings, such as brick, plants and tree bark.

Lumena recommend an MR16 LED bulb to reduce running and maintenance costs helped by the bulb’s long lifespan and low wattage.
The LED MR16 can be fitted / replaced easily if ever required by unscrewing the one screw at the top of the cylindrical
body. The ‘Pergolux’ 12v garden light looks fantastic once illuminated, providing a spotlight beam that disperses outwards
and downwards as the light hangs. The ‘Pergolux’ hanging light also looks great as a piece of ornamental landscape lighting
during daylight hours.
For instant coloured lighting effects why not fit a removable coloured dichroic lens inside the light ? Available in a variety of colours from our accessories sub category for louvres & filters.
Landscape lighting installation is made easier with this hanging garden light as a handy 5m of waterproof 2 core cable is
supplied, meaning less cable joins and more choice on the position of the light fitting. The fixed hanging ring at the
top of the light can be used with a length of chain if desired.

Lamp Colour (Kelvins)
The colour of a lamp is defined as a measurement called kelvins. A standard GLS light bulb in your house would be 2,700 kelvins
which is in the warm colour spectrum and a lamp with 6,000 kelvins would be at the very cold white spectrum.
Installation 12v
Choosing the style of a product is only part of the equation you must also think of where that product will be used and how
it will be installed. All exterior lighting products on our web site have an IP rating appropriate to each light fitting
and its intended application and is therefore fit for purpose. Water ingress is the enemy for outdoor lighting and the
products supplied are only as good as the installation. The weakest point is always cable joints. All joints must be
made 100% watertight and this can be done using IP68 cable connectors and/or waterproof junction boxes which are then
filled with a re-enterable liquid gel mix. All joints where possible should be made above ground for easy access and
reduced water ingress. When installing ground buried lights adequate drainage systems should be put in place especially
in clay-based soil areas. If possible, use ground surface spike lights rather than a buried light. Care must be
taken with the cable runs and not to install transformers more than 30 metres away from the furthest fitting to avoid
any voltage drop. Cabling should be 2 core Rubber HO5RN-F or HO7RN-F and not PVC. PVC leads to capillary action over
time especially with UV degradation. Always check the correct type of transformer you need for your fittings. We recommend
wiring in parallel with Toroidal AC and LED DC drivers. But when using Milliamp mA LED drivers, they should always be
wired in series. Plug and Play kits are simply a case of daisy chaining the fittings via plug and play junction boxes,
connectors and extension cables using a 2-pin plug arrangement.
All exterior lights must be installed by a certified NIC EIC electrician and should be signed off by an electrician with
Part P certification. There are a selection of waterproof jointing kits and boxes available on this web site.
