Navigator Minor 12v DC 316 Stainless Steel Recessed Deck Light 4000k 0.3w 21.5 Lumens IP65
The Navigator Minor code E3111W-N is a white LED deck and recessed light which consumes a tiny amount of power and stays cool to the touch. The 0.3w
LED produces a wide beam diffused by the 16mm diameter frosted lens. They are used either to mark out the shape of a deck,
patio or terrace, to outline paths and to provide marker lighting in step risers. To outline a deck or patio space with a
distinctive shape, start at the corners of the decking or paving and space LED recessed garden lights at about 60cm – 1m
apart in step risers, space them about 60cm apart along the centre line of the riser. Also available in Warm White code E3111WWN.
lights. If powering from a 12v ac wire-wound transformer, ensure transformer is loaded to at least 60% of nominal rating.
Each light contains long life high-output LED resin-encapsulated behind a frosted glass lens in a stainless steel case. The
case has a spring mount which locates the light in a sleeve used to prepare positions in concrete, paving or walls. Comes
supplied with 1m H05RN two core cable. They can be recessed without the sleeve in decking sleeper walls and other materials
using a 28mm wood drill bit. Diameter 40mm (sleeve 32mm; 28mm cutout without sleeve); recess depth 75mm. The top section
can be unscrewed to allow insertion of dichroic coloured lenses.
| Navigator lights can be arranged in custom layouts using cable joint kits and 1.5mm cable, which is more flexible than kit-type products. Connect to the end of a low voltage cable using T9962 cable joint kit; for splicing into a run of cable use T9963 cable splice kit. |
Please note that the B9403N DC 15w transformer will only accommodate up to 8 of these fittings

Choosing the style of a product is only part of the equation you must also think of where that product will be used and how
it will be installed. All exterior lighting products on our web site have an IP rating appropriate to each light fitting
and its intended application and is therefore fit for purpose. Water ingress is the enemy for outdoor lighting and the
products supplied are only as good as the installation. The weakest point is always cable joints. All joints must be
made 100% watertight and this can be done using IP68 cable connectors and/or waterproof junction boxes which are then
filled with a re-enterable liquid gel mix. All joints where possible should be made above ground for easy access and
reduced water ingress. When installing ground buried lights adequate drainage systems should be put in place especially
in clay-based soil areas. If possible, use ground surface spike lights rather than a buried light. Care must be
taken with the cable runs and not to install transformers more than 30 metres away from the furthest fitting to avoid
any voltage drop. Cabling should be 2 core Rubber HO5RN-F or HO7RN-F and not PVC. PVC leads to capillary action over
time especially with UV degradation. Always check the correct type of transformer you need for your fittings. We recommend
wiring in parallel with Toroidal AC and LED DC drivers. But when using Milliamp mA LED drivers, they should always be
wired in series. Plug and Play kits are simply a case of daisy chaining the fittings via plug and play junction boxes,
connectors and extension cables using a 2-pin plug arrangement.
All exterior lights must be installed by a certified NIC EIC electrician and should be signed off by an electrician with
Part P certification. There are a selection of waterproof jointing kits and boxes available on this web site.
