Navigator eye,12v, 1w led step light, 316 stainless steel, cool white, IP65
( Requires a 12v transformer )
The E3411W-N is a low energy, high output white LED deck and recessed light which consumes a small amount of power and stays cool to the touch. The high output 1w white LED produces a wide 80 degree beam diffused by the 28mm diameter frosted lens. Install it to light across individual steps or in a wall about 40cm above a patio or deck.
Construction
Long life high-output LED resin-encapsulated behind a frosted glass lens in a stainless steel case. The
case has a spring mount which locates the light in a sleeve used to prepare positions in concrete, paving or walls. They
can be recessed without the sleeve in decking sleeper walls and other materials using a 44mm hole saw. Diameter 60mm (sleeve
48mm; 44mm cutout without sleeve); recess depth 75mm.
Installation
12v 2.2W: NAVIGATORS should be connected to 1.5mm or 2.5mm ground burial low voltage cable with a heat-shrink crimped-connector
weatherproof Joint Kit – T9962 Cable Joint Kit (for connecting to the end of a cable) or T9963 Cable Splice Kit (for connecting
into a run of cable). NAVIGATORS should be powered by 12v dc power supply. Do not use an electronic transformer to power
Navigator LED lights. If powering from a 12v 20va or 50va ac wire-wound transformer, ensure transformer is loaded to at least
75% of nominal rating.
Navigator lights can be arranged in custom layouts using cable joint kits and 1.5mm cable, which is more flexible than kit-type
products. Connect to the end of a low voltage cable using T9962 cable joint kit; for splicing into a run of cable use T9963
cable splice kit.
Exterior Low voltage light fittings are the ideal choice for outside lighting projects
as they are safe to run compared to a mains 240v supply. The installation of exterior
lighting is generally the weakest point and it is therefore imperative that the installer
has previous experience of installing the lighting system. All joints must be 100%
water tight and where possible keep all transformers above ground. Heat shrink kits
and resin filled boxes are available from our web site to complete a good waterproof
installation. It is equally important to allow for adequate drainage under each light
fitting especially if you are in a clay based soil area where water drainage could
be a problem. Ensure that your installer is NIC EIC certified and experienced in outdoor installations.
please ensure the transformer has the correct loading.

Lamp
colour ( Kelvins )
The colour of a lamp is defined as a measurement called kelvins. A standard GLS light bulb in your house would be 2,700 kelvins
which is in the warm colour spectrum and a lamp with 5,000 kelvins would be at the very cold white spectrum. Getting
the right colour temperature of a lamp does matter as the warm colour wavelength helps to soften the tone of the area
and gives a warm soft relaxed feel and ideal for colourful flower beds and rockery areas especially with wooden bark
and at the other end of the scale a 4,000 to 5,000 kelvin lamp colour would be used against a light background such as
white walls or to accentuate grey blueish foliage in shrubs and small trees. When you buy a new, energy efficient
bulb, keep your application and colour scheme in mind and make sure to buy the bulb with a colour temperature to match.
