The Mystic Wall Light with PIR is a Globe shape wall lantern with a motion sensor (passive infra red). It has a bright white globe / lens, and a matt black frame, surrounding the lower half of the Globe. Furthermore, the striking mounting bracket has swirl details on the underside of the protruding arm. The Globe itself is a 2 part, extremely robust and vandal resistant polycarbonate diffuser. Removing the top half allows easy replacement of the standard ES lamp, and is secured by three stainless steel screws.
Detection range 120°. Detection distance 0-12m (adjustable). Ambient Light 20-2000 Lux (adjustable). Time Delay 5 seconds to 7 minutes (adjustable).
The frame is made from rust proof Aluminium which is chromate treated prior to painting. This prevents the Aluminium oxidising and the paint flaking off, as it may do with fittings which have not been treated. 2 Year warranty.
The built in PIR, also known as motion sensor, provides added security to a home or building, automatically switching the lamp on when movement is detected. This helps to prevent intruders targeting the property as they will be spotted when the sensor is triggered. In this way, it also saves energy, only illuminating when required, rather than ‘on’ constantly like a standard lamp.
The adjustable PIR sensor is near the bottom of the mounting bracket. On the underside of the sensor, two dials enable the adjustment of ‘Time’ and ‘Lux’; time adjusting the amount of time the lamp remains illuminated, and lux adjusting how dark it must be before the PIR sensor comes into play (acting like an adjustable photocell).
- Warranty: 2 Year Guarantee (exceptions apply in coastal areas)
Lamp Colour (Kelvins)
The colour of a lamp is defined as a measurement called kelvins. A standard GLS light bulb in your house would be 2,700 kelvins
which is in the warm colour spectrum and a lamp with 6,000 kelvins would be at the very cold white spectrum.
