Modula Recessed Uplight – Green – Round – 240v GU10 – 30 degree
or low-energy LED lamp
lens as standard. The light is located by an “O” ring on the body into a sleeve tube. To facilitate removal of screws
for future re-lamping or other maintenance, apply copper grease to the threads of all screws being fitted for retention
of bezels, grills or other top plates or retaining rings. Copper grease resists degradation due to heat and protects
against difficulty in removing screws, particularly where stainless steel screws are fitted with aluminium parts. It
may also be used on screw threads of screw-off bezels or glare shields. Ensure surplus is cleaned off with a solvent
to prevent staining in use.
| Colour/Finish: | Powder Coated Green blends well in lawns |
|---|---|
| IP Rating: | IP67 |
| Construction: | Front bezel is attached to tubular aluminium body. 1m cable via rear entry cable gland |
| Input Voltage: | 240v |
| Lamp Type: | GU10 LED lamps with low energy consumption make these a popular option. LED lamps also result in a much lower lens temperature, which is important in walkover areas. |
| Installation: | The plastic sleeve is built in during construction or retrofitted into a hole cut with a coring bit: Using a single RCD for large numbers of 240v fittings is not recommended due to the risk of nuisance tripping. We advise the use of separate RCD protection for each circuit and a maximum of 12 fittings per RCD. Where a garden lighting installation of more than 12 spike mount or recessed lights per circuit is proposed, we suggest the installation of 12v units with transformers, which results in a significantly higher fault tolerance and reliability in the total installation |

All exterior lighting products on our website have an IP rating which is explained further in our Technical Help/Products section but
in simple terms the IP rating is appropriate to each light fitting and its intended application and is therefore fit
for purpose. Water ingress is the enemy for outdoor lighting and the products supplied are only as good as the installation
as the weakest point is always cable joints. All joints must be made 100% water tight and this can be done using IP68
inline connectors, waterproof junction boxes which are then filled with a resin or gel mix. All joints where possible
should be made above ground for easy access and reduced water ingress. When installing ground buried lights adequate
drainage systems should be put in place especially
in clay based soil areas. Also mains cable should be SWA rubber and not PVC.
All exterior lights must be installed by a certified NIC EIC electrician and should be signed off by an electrician with
Part P certification. All cable joints must be 100% watertight. There are a selection of waterproof jointing kits and
boxes available on this web site.
H05RN-F 3 Core Rubber Sheathed Mains Cable 1.5mm is
recommended but do not use PVC flex cable as this can cause poor connections
for the cable glands/joints and will lead to capillary action.
