Director Tree Light / Spot Light, Brass – Rustic Bronze Finish (12v)
The Director Tree Light is a versatile 12v MR16 spot light that can be fixed anywhere in the garden including trees,
decking or raised areas of garden wall. The adjustable ‘Director’ head can be altered to point at various heights and
in any direction due to the 360º ball and socket joint at the product base. With it’s extra long tubular body, integrated
glare shield and convex lens, the Director Tree Light shines light in a more concentrated, narrow beam, ideal to emphasize
individual focal points such as statues. This brass spotlight is extra durable with an IP54 rating, and looks stylish
in traditional or modern gardens, blending in well with natural surroundings.
The low voltage ‘Director’ requires an MR16 lamp, which is easily fitted and replaced (see below for compatible LED MR16s).
The main body can be removed with a simple twist and pull action, and twisted clockwise to lock back into place. This
simple method means no external screws are required which not only makes maintenance easier and less likely, it also
adds to the streamline and classic design quality. An alternative style, 12 volt tree light is also available in a copper
finish, as well as both copper and brass up lights.

Low voltage is the safer option in the garden due to the ground being dug etc. You will need to use a transformer which matches
the lamp voltage, for example if you had 6 fittings each with a MR16 35w lamp that would be 6 x 35w = 210 watts so you would
need a transformer that was about 250 va as you need some spare capacity on it to function correctly. Standard MR16 low voltage
lamps can use either an electronic or standard toroidal type transformer but if you decide to use LED lamps then they work
best on the toroidal type transformer.
We recommend you use the heat shrink kits for cable jointing and also waterproof enclosures with the hard setting resin compound
to minimise the risk of water ingress.
Please try and make all terminations above ground where there is less chance of water ingress. All installations should be
done by a NIC EIC electrical contractor to ensure a safe and 100% water tight installation. Waterproof joint kits and boxes
are available from our web site.
