Director Up Light – Garden Spotlight – Solid Brass – Rustic Bronze Finish – 240v
This solid brass up light is a part of the Charleston Modular Mounting Range. Mount this versatile fitting anywhere in the
garden via the multiple interchangeable mounting options. These include spikes for in ground, while bases and brackets
fix to flat surfaces, including trees. Additional extension poles are
also available to add height within taller areas of planting. The fitting comes as standard with the 50mm polycarbonate finned spike mount. The drop down options include the Brass surface mount, brass spike mount and brass wall/gutter mount. The price will change when you select those.
In addition if you wish to add the extension rods or tree bracket they are shown as related products below and also at the check out.
The Director garden spotlight is crafted from robust solid brass and has a decorative rustic bronze finish. This finish blends
in with garden surroundings, yet adds a classic, elegant look. The extra durable polycarbonate ground spike has 4 fins
and an anchor. This design provides extra stability when fixed into soft ground as a spike light (supplied as standard).
Illuminating plants, shrubs, trees, statues or ornaments is easy with this brass up light. Angle the spotlight head in various
positions up to 180° via the strong serrated clamp joint. The light shines in a more focused, concentrated beam because
of the tubular body, convex lens and integrated glare shield. This is especially effective for illuminating individual
focal points.
As a result of the long body design, this brass up light also accommodates longer LED GU10 lamps. To install or replace the
GU10, twist the body anti-clockwise to release from the serrated clamp joint. This results in no visible external screws
which adds to the streamline and classic design quality.
Copper Grease will facilitate the removal of the main body of all Charleston Cobra Spot Lights when changing lamps.
5m of 3 core HO5RN-F cable supplied.
Lamp Colour (Kelvins)
The colour of a lamp is defined as a measurement called kelvins. A standard GLS light bulb in your house would be 2,700 kelvins
which is in the warm colour spectrum and a lamp with 5,000 kelvins would be at the very cold white spectrum.
Installation
All exterior lighting products on our website have an IP rating which is explained further in our Technical Help/Products section
but in simple terms the IP rating is appropriate to each light fitting and its intended application and is therefore
fit for purpose. Water ingress is the enemy for outdoor lighting and the products supplied are only as good as the
installation as the weakest point is always cable joints. All joints must be made 100% water tight and this can be
done using IP68 inline connectors, waterproof junction boxes which are then filled with a resin or gel mix. All joints
where possible should be made above ground for easy access and reduced water ingress. When installing ground buried
lights adequate drainage systems should be put in place especially in clay based soil areas.
