Delphi – 240v – 316 Stainless Steel 44w 3000k 5200 Lumens IP67 20 Degree Tilt Round Recessed Light
Delphi recessed up-light combine a cool top lens, long lamp life and energy efficiency for up-lighting trees from lawns or
paving. Delphi provides a powerful 36° up-lighting beam, using 1x 44 watt COB LED, while maintaining a typical top lens
temperature of under 40 degrees C – so Delphi can be used even in walkover areas to up-light trees with an open canopy
and branch structure from directly below.
The lamp and reflector assembly are mounted on an adjustable cradle so the beam can be tilted up to 20° from vertical to
achieve a desired effect.
The shallow depth and no need to enter the Delphi fitting for lamp installation or replacement make it quick and easy to
fit unlike its metal halide cousins. The dark grey non-reflective interior means less light refraction through
the lens to give away its position in the landscape. Delphi has a 316 stainless steel lens rim, a cast aluminium
body and a polymer sleeve for recessing into the ground. To facilitate removal of screws for maintenance, apply copper
grease to the threads of all screws being fitted for retention of bezels, grills or other top plates or retaining rings.
Copper grease resists degradation due to heat and protects against difficulty in removing screws, particularly where
stainless steel screws are fitted with aluminium parts. It may also be used on screw threads of screw-off bezels or glare
shields. Ensure surplus is cleaned off with a solvent to prevent staining in use.

Lamp colour (Kelvins)
The colour of a lamp is defined as a measurement called kelvins. A standard GLS light bulb in your house would be 2,700 kelvins
which is in the warm colour spectrum and a lamp with 5,000 kelvins would be at the very cold white spectrum.
240v Installation
All exterior lighting products on our website have an IP rating which is explained further in our Technical Help/Products section
but in simple terms the IP rating is appropriate to each light fitting and its intended application and is therefore
fit for purpose. Water ingress is the enemy for outdoor lighting and the products supplied are only as good as
the installation as the weakest point is always cable joints. All joints must be made 100% water tight and this
can be done using IP68 inline connectors, waterproof junction boxes which are then filled with a resin or gel
mix. All joints where possible should be made above ground for easy access and reduced water ingress. When installing
ground buried lights adequate drainage systems should be put in place especially in clay based soil areas.
Using a single RCD for large numbers of 240v fittings is not recommended due to the risk of nuisance tripping. We advise the use of separate RCD protection for each circuit and a maximum of 12 fittings per RCD. Where a garden lighting installation of more than 12 units with transformers, which results in a significantly higher fault tolerance and reliability in the total installation.
