Decimax 90mm – Outdoor Recessed Light – 316 Stainless Steel Deck Light – 12v IP67 Plug & Play

The ‘Decimax’ deck light or recessed light has a 90mm rounded front bezel. Made from corrosion resistant 316 stainless steel,
the Decimax has a contemporary appearance that will complement any modern environment. A hard protective sleeving adds
to the durability of the fitting. Mount into brick (driveway or wall), decking or the ground.

Not for use in areas prone to waterlogging or flooding

Well suited to outdoor spaces due to its high resistance to pitting corrosion.

Being a stainless steel deck light, the Decimax is highly durable and weatherproof. The stainless steel body, shielded beneath
a protective sleeving, is 304 stainless steel. The sleeving protects the lower section of stainless steel which mounts
into brick (driveway or wall), decking or the ground. The 316 stainless steel front bezel screws

The threaded front bezel attaches to the stainless steel body by screwing together, hence no tools are required to change
the lamp. Consequently, this adds to the aesthetic as there are no external screws or fixings. The Decimax is supplied
with a clear lens for optimum light output. A single   MR16 12v LED lamp is
required and 12v plug & Play transformer, extension cables and splitters.  See list of accessories below.

12v Installation

Choosing the style of a product is only part of the equation you must also think of where that product will be used and
how it will be installed. All exterior lighting products on our web site have an IP rating appropriate to each light fitting
and its intended application and is therefore fit for purpose. Water ingress is the enemy for outdoor lighting and the products
supplied are only as good as the installation. The weakest point is always cable joints. All joints must be made 100% watertight
and this can be done using IP68 cable connectors and/or waterproof junction boxes which are then filled with a re-enterable
liquid gel mix. All joints where possible should be made above ground for easy access and reduced water ingress. When installing
ground buried lights adequate drainage systems should be put in place especially in clay-based soil areas. If possible, use
ground surface spike lights rather than a buried light.  Care must be taken with the cable runs and not to install transformers
more than 30 metres away from the furthest fitting to avoid any voltage drop. Cabling should be 2 core Rubber HO5RN-F or
HO7RN-F and not PVC. PVC leads to capillary action over time especially with UV degradation. Always check the correct type
of transformer you need for your fittings. We recommend wiring in parallel with Toroidal AC and LED DC drivers. But when
using Milliamp mA LED drivers, they should always be wired in series. Plug and Play kits are simply a case of daisy chaining
the fittings via plug and play junction boxes, connectors and extension cables using a 2-pin plug arrangement.
