The Dasar 270 is an Assymmetric recessed light which means that most of the light does not get thrown backwards but is projected forward and up. The light is projected at a 45 degree beam angle and pumps out 2000 lumens from the integral 30w warm white 3000k LED module..  A maximum 2 ton load can be put on the fitting and makes it ideal as a drive over luminaire but not to be parked on. It is made from aluminium with a 316 Stainless
steel bezel.
Code for the cool white fitting is 1002895.

The LED should last up to 50,000 hours and is replaceable by the manufacturer or by one of their service technicians authorised by them.

The IP rating is IP65 and the dimensions are 27cm (270mm) diameter, 20.3cm (203mm) height and 25cm (250mm) cut out.

A NIC EIC electrical contractor should be used to ensure a 100% water tight installation. There are junction boxes, resin
kits, magic gel and IP68 inline connectors available from us to help make the perfect waterproof joint.

For a mains 220v – 240v supply you should use SWA ( steel wired armour ) rubber cable and NOT PVC.
  Each new garden supply should also be on its own RCD.

Choosing the style of a product is only part of the equation you must also think of where that product will be used and how
it will be installed. All exterior lighting products on our web site have a IP rating which is explained further in our
design ideas section but in simple terms the IP rating is appropriate to each light fitting and its intended application
and is therefore fit for purpose. Water ingress is the enemy for outdoor lighting and the products supplied are only
as good as the installation as the weakest point is always cabling and connection joints. All joints must be made 100%
water tight and this can be done using IP68 inline connectors, waterproof junction boxes which are then filled with a
resin mix or magic gel. All joints where possible should be made above ground for easy access and reduced water ingress.
When installing ground buried lights adequate drainage systems should be put in place especially in clay based soil areas,
i.e. approximately 200mm of shingle or stones.
