Compact spike light, 316 stainless steel, mains 240v, GU10, IP65
240v models utilise GU10 lamps negating the need for a transformer. LED ground spike spotlights fitted with a flush glass
lens to prevent water accumulation, a longer body to shield the lamp from view leaving sufficient space for glare louvres,
clip on lens and dichroic filters. Choose a 5w or 7w warm white LED lamp to uplight pergola columns.
240v Spike spotlights need their own circuit from an existing or new fuse box. The box must be protected by a residual
current device (RCD) and controlled with a double-pole isolating switch. As a general rule of thumb, the armoured
cables need to be run underground- at least 450mm with weatherproof junction boxes. Use an electrician qualified
under ‘Part P’ building regulations to install any mains electricity outdoors who will certify the work properly. Available in 12v or 240v and colour finishes, Black, Rustic Brown and Copper.
The exterior dimensions are 111mm x 63mm not including 250mm spike.
Comes pre-wired with 2m of 3 core rubber cabling.
Beam distribution 15 degrees to 120 degrees.
Maximum length of LED bulb to use must not exceed 72mm including the pins.
Lamp Colour (Kelvins)
The colour of a lamp is defined as a measurement called kelvins. A standard GLS light bulb in your house would be 2,700
kelvins which is in the warm colour spectrum and a lamp with 5,000 kelvins would be at the very cold white spectrum.

All exterior lighting products on our website have an IP rating which is explained further in our Technical Help/Products section but
in simple terms the IP rating is appropriate to each light fitting and its intended application and is therefore fit
for purpose. Water ingress is the enemy for outdoor lighting and the products supplied are only as good as the installation
as the weakest point is always cable joints. All joints must be made 100% water tight and this can be done using IP68
inline connectors, waterproof junction boxes which are then filled with a resin or gel mix. All joints where possible
should be made above ground for easy access and reduced water ingress. When installing ground buried lights adequate
drainage systems should be put in place especially in clay based soil areas.
