Compact 240v – Outdoor Fixed Down Light – 316 Stainless Steel IP65 GU10

The E4312 Elipta Compact down light is a 240v wall or post-mount model for fixed down lighting and grazing.
240v models can utilise GU10 LED lamps which means there is no need for a bulky transformer base and they fit mains wiring
points on house walls and pillars. It has a flush lens which sheds water and dirt and is easy to clean. 5w LED lamps are
ideal for threshold lighting over a door or patio lighting applications. The LED lamps provide a long life, low energy option
for lighting a variety of areas such as patios.

Installation

Screw the back plate onto wall, post or Besa box. Seal wall fixing holes with silicon sealant. 

Please ensure that you use a PART P, NIC EIC electrical contractor to install your exterior lighting.

All the products are sold and tested fit for purpose and the IP rating is set according to the design and purpose of the
luminaire, more details on IP ratings can be found under design ideas section. The weakest point is generally the installation
of the product where poor cable joints have been made which are not 100% water tight and will allow for water penetration.
There are a number of waterproof enclosures available on this site along with IP68 inline connectors and resin gel packs
to fill the junction boxes to make a watertight enclosure. Copper grease should also be used on screws and nuts to stop
them binding and ease removal at a later date when a lamp change is required it can also provide a watertight seal.  Never
use PVC cabling only use Rubber. PVC can lead to capillary action.

Lamp Colour (Kelvins)

The colour of a lamp is defined as a measurement called kelvins. A standard GLS light bulb in your house would be 2,700 kelvins
which is in the warm colour spectrum and a lamp with 5,000 kelvins would be at the very cold white spectrum.
